Ladies hai Kya gents hai???

Ladies hai kya gents hai?

Everytime I ask for a single ticket on a travels bus the guy asks me if the passenger is a Lady or a Gent. The question always infuriated me. Why do women get preferential treatment on the bus? Why can't women sit besides men? Are we some kind of sexual predaters who will devour them if they sit besides us? Why the double standards? And what is with the funda about reserving all the front seats for women? I mean once by a lucky chance I got a seat near the front of the bus instead of my usual second or third form last, and just as I was looking forward to a jumps free journey, the bus guy asked me to vacate my seat for a lady who was sitting at the back. He said I was the only one with a single ticket and as I was siting besides another woman and she besided a man, I should exchange my seat with her. Now I am a thorough gentleman so I had to vacate my seat and go back to the second row from last and bounce my way to my destination. That was the first time this system of sitting women besides women irritated me. Why the hell do they do it?

I got my answer recently. I was travelling from somewhere to somewhere and unfortunately I was seated besides a young woman. She was not too young, she was of the age of a woman who had say a five year old son, you know what I mean? I tell you the next four hours were the most uncomfortable of my life. I could not relax because then my legs toughed hers. I could not strech because then my shoulders touched hers. I had to get out of the seat completely when she had to get out instead of the normal lean-back. Man it was hell. That is when I realised that they do not sit women besided women because it is good ofr the women, they do it because the other men can have a comfortable journey. I almost cried out "Eureka!" I was amazed at the perceptiveness of the bus people. So the next time they asked me if the single seat was a Lady or a Gent I gladly confirmed that it was a gent who did not widh to sit besides any lady. Thank You.
